Alison + Travis’ SS Sicamous Penticton wedding was so much fun! We arrived before the ceremony while Alison was getting ready right on the boat. Did I mention that we shot a wedding on a boat? It’s beautiful! So much character and history around every corner.
The ceremony was held inside at the grand staircase. It was fun shooting from both below and above and I’m really thankful for having one of our longtime assistants, Abi, help me out with all the possible angles!
After the ceremony, we headed out with Alison’s sisters and Travis’ brothers. It was great shooting on the beach and using the boat for the background. We also explored up to the front of the SS Sicamous to finish the “bridal party” photos with the Okanagan Lake behind them. Afterward, we went right down to the lake for portraits of the Bride + Groom. The cloudy skies and sunlight combination was a treat!
The reception began back on the boat. The SS Sicamous in Penticton is kept open and available for your guests to peruse the history of the vessel. It’s pretty cool. After cake cutting, we went back to the stairs to grab a pretty epic portrait of Alison in her beautiful dress. Later, it was time for speeches, followed by dancing!
