Tessa + Robbie came from Vancouver for their destination Naramata Wedding. They take holidays in Naramata quite often, as Tessa’s parents have retired to this stunning wine country reminiscent of the French countryside. Friends and family came from all over the globe, as Tessa’s family is from Ireland. It was truly a destination wedding.
Tessa got ready at her parents home in Naramata. The morning was filled with beautiful sunlight, beautiful art that Tessa’s parents have collected, and a sense of ease as Tessa anticipated marrying the love of her life. Lauren Elise Hair Design came from Kelowna to do all of the ladies hair, and she did a fabulous job. As Tessa’s sister helped her into her wedding gown, Tessa’s parents each had the opportunity to have a private first look with Tessa, to see their “little girl” ready for her wedding ceremony. Guests departed from the family home in a shuttle by Top Cat Tours as Tessa and her father waited a few minutes to leave in their private chauffeured car, by RJK Limousine.
Robbie got ready at Sandy Beach Lodge with his groomsmen. These guys had a fantastic morning filled with donuts and relaxation with the perfect view of the Okanagan Lake just out their door. Robbie was filled with joy and excitement as he waited to wed his bride.
The ceremony was held at the quaint and tiny Naramata Community Church, which is perfect for small and intimate weddings, in a unique mix of Anglican and United Church traditions, binding the two families together in perfect unison. Reverend Sandra Stickney performed the sacred ceremony at the church in her very peaceful and gentle manner. Penticton’s own musically talented Yanti, sang a cappella as the wedding party came down the aisle.
After the ceremony the wedding party and guests walked back to Sandy Beach Lodge for cocktails and a toast before family photos and bridal party photos.
Wedding Portraits were especially important to Tessa + Robbie, so we made time to go to several nearby locations for a variety of what the Naramata region has to offer. From willows on the lake, to apple orchards and vineyards, and even the Lavender Farm, we made sure Tessa + Robbie had the memories they had hoped for from their wedding day.
The reception began and went very smoothly, thanks to Dream Big Event Management, who was there from start to finish to make sure everything was perfect for this special day. Dinner was served and the dinner bell rang as guests filled the tent from Westminster Party Rentals and got ready for wonderfully touching speeches. Penticton’s amazing Joy Road catered this amazing dinner with only local ingredients.
Dessert was especially delicious with a beautiful cutting cake by Gorgeous Georgia’s, and homemade pies by Lucy’s Homemade pies in Naramata. After coffee and dessert Tessa + Robbie started the dance party off with the traditional first dance, followed by the parents first dance with the bride and groom. Afterwards, the guests were ready to dance the night away.
Congratulations Tessa + Robbie!! May your years be filled with happiness and joy.
Be blessed!
