Shooting Wedding Photography in Kelowna means that we get to meet and photograph clients all over the Okanagan valley and we got be a Penticton photographer for Amanda + Cole.
Amanda got ready at the Ramada Penticton Hotel & Suites. It was a sweet and calm time while Melissa Craven worked her makeup magic and the girls got ready. Meanwhile, Cole and the boys were pretty chill themselves even if we had to help with the pocket squares! After a quick basement jam session (there’s no pictures. I was the drummer! Lol.) After that, it was off to the church to get married!
The ceremony took place at the Penticton Alliance Church where Amanda + Cole were married by Cole’s father. It was touching to see the connection these families have through The Lord, and their faith was obvious to all who were present.
After family photos we whisked off to a beautiful spot on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, over-looking the gorgeous Okanagan Lake. If it’s true that you can tell the character of a person by their friends, then we knew we were in good company! These guys were hilarious and so easy to work with! We gave the wedding party a little break for some portraits of the Bride and Groom and found a perfect little spot among the sagebrush.
The Reception was held at the Days Inn Penticton and we loved the bright and airy feeling in the room. The DIY wedding decorations added that perfect rustic touch as we heard wonderful prayers, blessings, and tearful and joyful toasts to our couple. After, they played the shoe game, but with a twist! We’ll let you scroll down to see, but it was awesome!
Later, we snuck out for a few sunset photos and managed to catch the only bit of sun on this cloudy day. We made proper use of the shoe game props and then it was back inside for dancing, tosses, and general merriment!
Thank you Amanda + Cole for letting us be a part of your wonderful wedding day!
Blessings.
