Kelsie + Dan are such an easy breezy couple, and their Kelowna Wedding was such a fun time. From the moment I (Carly) arrived at Kelsie’s parents house to get some detail and getting ready shots, this bride was totally calm cool and collected. She was mostly concerned that everyone had what they needed, and was looking out for her bridesmaids more than herself. She is such a sweet spirited, feisty person and just a fun person to be around
Dan + Kelsie live in Kamloops where they are building a beautiful new home. While Kelsie was getting ready at her parents family home, Dan got ready at a nearby hotel. We love how Dan (and Kelsie too, for that matter) are so comfortable in front of the camera, making it SUPER easy to get those awesome candid shots that we love so much.
The ceremony was held at the Benvoulin Heritage Church. This location was special to Kelsie because her mother and her sister both were married at this beautiful heritage church. It was such an amazing bright shiny day. The flower arrangements were made by Kelsie’s talented dad.
The reception was held at Ellison Hall. We got to sneak outside for a little bit during the prettiest sunlight of the evening for a few extra portraits, which we couldn’t be happier with. Lots of fun friends came to enjoy the golden rays out on the lovely front staircase.
Dan is a firefighter in Kamloops and Kelsie is a Paramedic. Real heroes. We always love getting to hear the speeches at weddings. We already know our clients are amazing, but to hear stories from their friends and family members just reminds us how awesome they truly are.
Enjoy, and remember to leave Dan + Kelsie some love!
