Charlotte + David’s Kalamalka Lakeside Wedding was the party of the year for those in attendance! From getting ready in Coldstream to the tented reception right on the Kalamalka Lake at a private residence, each part of the day reflected who they are and what’s important. It became clear to us right away that what is important is their community and the people that they love.
Our time began at a beautiful Air BnB overlooking the water and right on an orchard in gorgeous Coldstream, BC. Charlotte divided her time between hair and makeup and cuddles with their beautiful daughter. David spent time with his groomsmen playing ping pong and enjoying some craft beers. We made sure to get a pretty awesome looking photo of the guys walking down the street.
David and Charlotte had a first look moment in the apple orchard nearby where he got to see her in her beautiful, flowing, summer wedding dress. The dress could not have been more “Charlotte”. After a few sweet moments and some pictures in the orchard we wrangled their 20 person wedding party up for some photos. Afterward, it was time to go make some vows.
The Kalamalka lakeside wedding ceremony was held in Coldstream at a beautiful private residence. Guests mingled together, enjoyed drinks, games, and conversation while the lovely pup dug holes in the sand. The ceremony was all smiles and a couple tears and these two became husband + wife.
With the tented dinner and reception right there on the lawn we all shifted right into celebration mode as Gumtree Catering prepared a delicious family style meal. It was not uncommon to find guests wandering up and down the dock, standing barefoot in the sand, or grabbing selfies with the gorgeous Kalamalka lake behind them. The sunset portraits were amazing! Soon, it was time for speeches and dancing and they all partied into the night.
Hugs and high-fives to Charlotte and David for having along on this spectacular day!
