Kyla + Adam are amazing people who got married April 27th in Naramata, British Columbia. These guys are determined to do all things as locally as possible, and actually did a year long challenge to eat only locally. So naturally, their wedding was as local as can be. Because of this, a lot of details of their day were DIY from the guys ties (I know right?!), to the amazing cook books they made as gifts for their guests with all local seasonal recipes, to the lighting, the napkins, the centerpieces, and more. Laura Lebbon of English Rose Weddings, was the chief planner of the day, and had the added benefit of being one of Kyla’s bridesmaids.
The flowers were all locally sourced by Edgy Petals.
Kyla and the girls got ready at Y Knot Bed & Breakfast. Y-Knot is a beautiful log cabin with a cathedral ceiling, and had the cutest quirky little embellishments. Sabrina Goltz did an amazing job styling Kyla and her girls’ hair, and Brandie Jollimore did the beautiful make-up artistry for them all.
Kyla and Adam’s wedding ceremony was held at the cutest tiny church in Naramata, Naramata Community Church, and was literally a 5 minute walk from their beautiful reception at Sandy Beach Resort & Lodge , and where guests stayed for the amazing weekend full of events and games and fun to draw them together and allow their families to get to know one another. Kyla and Adam are FANTASTIC at connecting people into community with each other, and we felt at home every minute of the day. One of the most unique and fun parts of their day was the “Processional” of the Bridal Party, family, and guests. We all walked together back to Sandy Beach Lodge, to continue the celebration with merriment and festivities.
The Reception was held in a beautiful white tent provided by Westminster Party & Tent Rentals, and they also provided the beautiful table setups.
Throughout the evening, Kyla + Adam’s friends and family got up to give speeches and toasts, and Kyla and Adam went to a special place they created to give their full attention to their honored guests, sitting on the prettiest vintage couch, provided by Vintage Origami Wedding Decor Rentals, who also provided a number of decor and special details for the day.
This day was amazingly beautiful and we couldn’t be more lucky to have been able to spend this day with these guys.
Congratulations, Kyla + Adam! May your life together be filled with long lasting love and the most deep and meaningful friendship you’ll ever know.
