This was the first Camo Country Wedding for Barnett Photography and we couldn’t have picked a better couple! Devanee + Kyle brought the joy all day long! Follow along through the story of this beautiful north Okanagan wedding!
The day began with getting ready; Devanee at the lovely Camo Country Wedding house and Kyle at swanky air BnB in Vernon. The dress from Kelowna’s Lilian Wild Bridal was just perfect for the bride! So beautiful! At the same time, Kyle and his friends figured out how to keep cool in the summer heat by hacking off the sleeves from their shirts!
The Ceremeony was on the grounds at Camo Country Weddings. The flowers, trees, and paths are beautifully maintained and every angle is a good angle! The ceremony was sweet, meaningful, and well-designed to suit the intentional love shared by the bride and groom.
After refreshments and family photos, we walked around the property and discovered some awesome spots for bridal party pictures and did we mention that Camo Country Weddings has a tank? Like, a tank that they can drive around? Crazy! We wouldn’t peg Devanee as a military enthusiast (lol), but Kyle kindly requested a simple photo that perhaps included the visually intriguing addition of a tank. And we say, why not? So that’s fun!
We wondered into the woods and discovered a fairy-tale swing hanging from the trees! It was sunset Carly knelt on the forest floor capturing the whimsiest bit of sunlight streaming through the branches. It’s one of our favourite photos of 2018!
The reception was in the great big barn. It was decorated in a sweet, rustic style that complimented the entire day perfectly. After dinner, speeches, and an awesome full band performance of a song by friends and family, it was time for the dances and celebration!
We’re so grateful that this is our job and we are able to add a little sparkle of joy to your wedding day!
