Kayla + Jonathan’s Kelowna lakeside wedding was so much fun! These guys are bright, happy, and wonderful to work with. The ceremony and reception at the Hotel Eldorado were perfect and we’re so excited to share this day!
Kayla got ready at her parent’s house. It was a flurry of activity all morning with hair and makeup and getting dressed. Everybody was in good spirits and Makeup Artist Jenny McKinney worked her magic while bringing a sense of calm to her station. There was a sweet moment between Kayla and her Dad when he saw her in her wedding dress. They hugged and cried and he took a picture of her. So sweet! Jonathan and the boys got ready together and Jon presented them each with a gift box. After a couple shots and some flashy socks, it was time to leave to see Kayla.
Jonathan and Kayla had a private First Look with each other in the pool room at Hotel Eldorado. This was Kayla’s idea and it was perfect, quiet, and secluded. A beautiful intimate moment. It’s so much fun to watch brides and grooms on their wedding day. The excitement was really building up! After seeing each other K + J had a private vow exchange on the beach with just family before the ceremony.
The ceremony was held on the rooftop at the Hotel Eldorado. This is one of our favourite places to photograph weddings. It’s definitely one of the top spots for a Kelowna lakeside wedding!
After the cocktail hour and a few more portraits the reception began in the Sun Room with DJ Haymaker at the helm. Haymaker knows how to keep things going with good humor and impeccable timing! We love working with Jeff! After dinner we snuck out for sunset photos and then it was back to speeches, cake cutting (possibly a slice of cake took a tumble!) and then dances.
